A short biography of the column's moderator -

NZ9E was first licensed in 1958 with the call letters K9POX and has been continuously active in amateur radio since that time. He currently holds an Amateur Extra Class license as well as a General Radiotelephone commercial operator's license (formerly the commercial First Class license). He graduated from Loyola University in 1963 and worked for NBC-TV in Chicago for 30 years in their Engineering Development Group. Upon leaving NBC, he and an associate operated a business servicing professional video and audio equipment for independent televison commercial and news producers, filling a need in the changing television production market.

Over the years, Dave has written numerous articles for 73 Magazine, Kilobaud Microcomputing, 80 Microcomputing, WorldRadio and QST (winning the "Cover Plaque" award for QST in December 1994). He instituted and writes the monthly column for 73 Amateur Radio Today Magazine called Ham To Ham. The column seeks out input from other hams and brings their tips, ideas, suggestions and shortcuts to the pages of 73 Magazine each month.
